Ateneo de Naga University, through the Center for Community Development, provided food packs and shelter kits last 14, 16, and 22 December 2019 to 573 families affected by typhoon Tisoy in Camarines Sur and Sorsogon provinces previous month.
Sixty-four families from Canaman, Milaor, Magarao, and Calabanga in Camarines Sur received shelter kits consisting of galvanized iron sheets and nails. While 409 families in Brgys. Macalaya, Burabod, and Dinapa in Castilla, Sorsogon, received food packs consisting of canned goods, 4kls of rice, coffee, and sugar. One hundred families also received the same food packs in Brgy. Iniwaran, San Pascual, Masbate.
Meanwhile, as of 6 January 2020, the total cash donations gathered for the Agap Atenista: Anduyog Bicol already reached Php 711,436.94.
Typhoon Tisoy ravaged the Bicol Region last 2 December 2019, which toppled houses, electric posts, and trees, and brought flooding and landslides in various towns in the region.
