Over six hundred participants from the university community attended the Xavier Day Outreach held last 1 December 2018 in the partner areas of Canaman, Magarao, and Milaor, as well in Calabanga and Del Rosario, Pili.
The outreach activities for this year were Community Merienda, Tree Planting, Bahay Bayanihan, Mangrove Planting, Coastal Clean-up, as well as Community Outreach with Indigenous People, and Outreach in Naga City District Jail. Other organizations also conducted their outreach activities in their selected areas. All of these were coordinated by the Center for Community Development, in collaboration with the University Social Involvement Council.
CCD Director Elmer Sto. Domingo, Jr. said that the activity was successful and the holiday did not affect the attendance of the participants. He also added that many organizations still conducted Community Merienda despite its limited budget.
The university-wide Ignaciana Outreach Activity is held yearly and is considered one of the biggest celebrations of the university.
