Scaling-up and Integration of Community Knowledge into Disaster Risk Reduction

Held last 21 June 2011 at the Knowledge for Development Center (James O`Brien Library), the symposium was the second of the Distance Learning Seminar Series 2011: Disaster Risk Management in East Asia and the Pacific under the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery in partnership with Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, Asian Disaster Reduction Center, and Training and Learning Circle, Philippines 

Presenters of the 3-hour symposium coming from the said university and center were joined by invited local DRR practitioners (17 participants)  from non-government organizations, academics, and local government units.
