WHO ARE WE

The membership to the University Social Involvement Council was reconstituted from its original composition of 22 members to 17 members. As contained in the USIC General Agreements, membership was reduced to 17 members during the USIC series of consultation meetings held from July to November 2010. In the re-constitution of the Council, membership shall now include the following:

    1. USIC Chairperson
    2. Institute of Politics
    3. INECAR
    4. College of Arts and Sciences
    5. College of Engineering
    6. College of Business and Accountancy
    7. College of Education
    8. College of Nursing
    9. College of Computer Studies
    10. Center for Local Governance
    11. Center for Community Development
    12. ASSRC
    13. Office of the Deputy Academic Vice President for Formation
    14. College Faculty Club
    15. Ateneo Personnel Club
    16. High School Faculty and Staff Club
    17. SSG

The Deans of the College, the Director of the Institutes and Centers, and the Presidents of the Clubs shall be officially named as the representatives of the member units of the Council.

To ensure that the members are at all times represented in Council meetings/activities and to avoid cancellation of meetings for lack of quorum, the official representatives are authorized to name one (1) permanent alternate who shall function in their absence or inability and may exercise voting rights on behalf of the council member concerned, except for the alternates of the DAVP, Director of IP and Director of CLG whose authority as alternates will be determined by the respective designating authority.

All other former members and other units in the university whose participation are necessary in carrying out USIC plans shall be invited and called upon whenever necessary.
