Senior Education Student receives the 2007 Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines

Ira Sheena C. Howard, senior education honors program student, received the 2007 Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines Award last December 14, 2007 at the Ceremonial Hall, International Headquarters, Knight of Rizal Building, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila. She was chosen among the 20 finalists along with three other students of Ateneo schools.

She received a cash prize of Php. 10,000.00, a medal and a trophy during the Awarding Ceremonies. The criteria for the selection were: academic excellence, student leadership, verbal communication and personality projection and appearance.

Miss Howard is presently the President of the Student Supreme Government and was the immediate past President of the Samahang Tagapagtaguyod ng Edukasyong Pilipino (STEP).
