MBA Students Organize Seminar on Stock Market Investment

MBA 211 (Development Issues and Problems in Business) class under Mr. Juan Raul Relloso organized a seminar on “Investing on Stock Market Today” last December 15, 2007 at the Richie Fernando Hall, Ateneo de Naga University.  The seminar was actually a re-echo of the Basic Stock Market Investing Seminar sponsored by the Philippine Stock Exchange last November 22, 2007 at the PSE Centre in Pasig City.  This was attended by four MBA students from Mr. Relloso’s class namely: Regino Arwin Aro, Zyra Lyn Rivera, Anthony Francis Laynesa and Mary Francis Moll.  These four students then served as the speakers for the seminar given in AdNU which was attended by fellow MBA students as well as undergraduate commerce majors.

The seminar was organized to promote awareness on stock investments in Philippine-based companies. The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. in cooperation with CitisecOnline target mainly professionals and businessmen through free seminars and presentations.  They also encourage MBA students to take part in the 2nd PSE-CITISECONLINE Stock Market Investment Challenge, an online simulated stock investment program where MBA students from among the top Graduate schools in the country compete. 

The AdNU Graduate School through its Dean, Dr. Alfredo Fabay, gave full support to make the seminar possible.  It subsidized the cost for the PSE seminar in Manila as well as the seminar in AdNU.
