 In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis Xavier on 3 December, the Ateneo de Naga University community participated in several outreach activities last 1 December 2009. Three outreach projects were spearheaded by the Center for Community Development (CCD) while one was initiated by the Office of Student Activities (OSA).
Outside the Ateneo, the community visited three areas. In Sta. Cruz, Buhi participants planted trees (coordinator: Mr. Leo Borras), in two areas in Calabanga (Quipayo and San Lucas), participants helped in a feeding program (coordinator: Mr. Larry Sucatre), while in Balatasan, Calabanga participants provided some extra manpower in the Bahay Atenista project (coordinator: Mr. Aldrin Belmes).
Within the Ateneo, the OSA, conducted Dugong Atenista where over 160 willing participants donated their blood.
