Education Dean participates
in two international conferences in China

Dr. Arnulfo Aaron R. Reganit participated in two international conferences in Shanghai, China from 13-17 November 2009. Organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), East China Normal University, and Beijing Normal University, the International Forum on Teacher Education was held at East China Normal University from 13-15 November 2009.

The topics discussed in the International forum included standards for teacher preparation, teacher professional development, leadership academies, educational improvement and accountability, innovative practices of ICT, the use of live video mediated communication to deliver teacher education in real time, teacher education and policy sitautions, and best practices in networking for teacher professional development among many others.

Dr. Reganit actively participated in 16 concurrent and 3 plenary sessions. Participants were from 27 countries around the globe.

The Asia-Pacific Forum on International Education was held at Luwan Rural Public High School on 16-17 November. Observations on classroom instruction and on how extra-curricular activities were conducted in Shanghai were done by Dr. Reganit.

Aside from China, Dr. Reganit has also presented his papers in international conferences like Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.
