DR. GUMBA PRESENTS PAPER IN SINGAPORE

Associate Professor of Economics Dr. Bernadette Gavino-Gumba went to Singapore to present the results of her research entitled Intra Household Dynamics of Selected Rural Households in the Poorest Province of the Philippines. She joined the “2010 Annual International Conference on Humanities, Historical and Social Sciences” sponsored by the Social Sciences and Humanities Society of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel on 26-28 February 2010. 

The Conference aimed to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from the Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and around the world to present their research results and development activities in Humanities, Historical and Social Sciences. Moreover, it hoped to provide an opportunity for the delegates and presenters on the following: (a) to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face; (b) to establish business or research relations; and (c) to find global partners for future collaboration. Participants and presenters in said conference came from over fifty (50) different countries and studies presented covered a variety of topics from human security and human rights to armed conflicts, terrorism and peace building, from media and education materials to gender, family and child-rearing, to transport, migration and urban sustainability, to film and book reviews.  

Submitted conference papers were reviewed by technical committees of the Conference. All accepted papers are published in the conference proceeding by well known World Academic Press and indexed by the Nielsen, Thomson ISI, and British Library.
