Four (4) CLG Trainers Participate in the ToT on PSEEAP

The Center for Local Governance (CLG) of the Ateneo de Naga University was identified as a Local Resource Institute of the Asia Foundation relative to the implementation of their Project entitled “Localizing Counter Corruption in the Six Cities in Luzon and Visayas”.  This will be supported by the British Embassy Global Opportunities Fund and the League of Cities of the Philippines. As such, the Center is expected to provide technical services in the conduct of the Public Service Excellence, Ethics and Accountability Program (PSEEAP) in the two identified cities in the Bicol Region, namely Iriga and Sorsogon.

PSEEAP aims to fill the gaps in the fight against corruption as well as to advance counter corruption reforms that reduce poverty and promote economic growth in the following identified six (6) Cities in Luzon and Visayas: Calapan, Iriga, Roxas, Tacloban, Santiago and Sorsogon.

In preparation for the implementation of the said Project, the Center was requested to be involved in the Training of Trainers (ToT) on Public Service Excellence Ethics, and Accountability which was held last February 18-22, 2008 at the City Garden Suites, Ermita, Manila.  Ms. Benita Michele S. Ciudadano-CLG Staff, Ms. Ma. Christina M. Delos Santos-Program Director of Legal Management and Hospital & Home Health Care Management, Ms. Marianne Ayo-Permale-Faculty of the Psychology Department, and Mr. Duke Thomas G. Dolorical-MPA Student of the Graduate School were the CLG trainers who participated in the said training.

The five-day training covered the modules on Service Vision and Service Values; Service Audit Workshop; Service Implementation Workshop; Basic Counseling Service Skills and Public Service Ethics and Accountability.
