BSBA Student to Represent ADNU in the Prestigious AYLC

From the five hundred and ninety-five (595) applicants nominated by a hundred and four (104) colleges and universities all over the country, AdNU’s Marjorie Joy P. Alcozar (3rd year BSBA Marketing Management student) qualified to the 10th Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC).  This will be held on February 5 - 9, 2008 at the San Miguel Corporation Management Training Center in Alfonso, Cavite. AYLC is an annual three-day summit involving workshops, lectures, outdoor activities, plenary sessions and discussions intended for the most promising student leaders of the country.  This year it will carry the theme "A Call to Moral Courage" and will be attended by the seventy-five (75) chosen delegates from forty-one (41) colleges and universities in the country.

Miss Alcozar underwent a panel interview with four Ayala executives last November 23, 2007 at the Ayala Tower One, Ayala Triangle, Makati City. A fellow Atenean, Cris Aian Cabal (AB Political Science 3) also made it to the second screening. The results were then announced through the AYLC official website (www.ayalayoungleaders.ph), and mailed to the delegates and school heads. The formal communications were signed by no less than the Ayala Corporation chairman and chief executive officer Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala.

After the congress, Ms. Alcozar will also attend the 2nd Ayala Young Leaders Grand Alumni Homecoming in Hotel Intercontinental Manila in Makati City. She will then be part of the 654 members of the Ayala Young Leader Alliance (AYLA).

Miss Alcozar is presently the Associate Editor of AdNU’s official student publication, The PILLARS and the acting President of the Association of Bicol Business Students - Ateneo de Naga University Chapter (ABBS).
