Humble Beginning
The College of Education (CED) began as an academic department of the College of Liberal Arts in 1948. It became an independent professional degree-granting college on August 25, 1997.
The College of Education, responding to the needs of the Philippines and the Asia Pacific Region in the next decade for balanced and relevant education programs, commits itself to assist and facilitate personal and social transformation through research, training, and development of teachers, scholars and other professionals committed to serve and imbued with the Ignatian spirituality and charism.
The College of Education aims to prepare top caliber teachers who are sensitive and responsive to the needs of the Bicol Region, in particular and of the Philippine society, in general and who can provide leadership and effective service to their respective communities and to the nation as a whole. |
