The College of Arts and Sciences is committed to provide all the students of Ateneo de Naga with a liberal education, serving as the core curriculum. It also offers areas of specialization to the student's talents and interests. The College seeks to develop among its students: the ability to make decision according to the Christian values and attitudes which would help effect the changes needed for full human development and god citizenship; the ability to think critically nd to communicate these thoughts clearly, accurately, truthfully; a deep appreciation and love for one's own cultural heritage; an interest and active participation in pure and applied research; and a social conscience nourished through Sacramental worship which will lead them to a fuller commitment to community development and nation-building. The specialized courses offered by the College seeks to develop in the students: a competence in their chosen field of specialization; and the ability to integrate their field of specialization with the broader aspects of life and with human values.
