The series of trainings on Youth Leadership towards Building a Transparent and Accountable Governance were conducted on 26 February and 15 March 2016, respectively. The said activities were held both at the CLG Training Room, Ateneo de Naga University.
The first run of the training was attended by youth members and officers of the Task Force Youth Development of Barangay San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur. There were also officials of the said barangay who attended the said training together with their Punong Barangay. Other participants came from Iriga City representing the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines. The second run was attended by youth members and officers of Task Force Youth Development of Barangay Dugcal in Camaligan, Barangay Dalipay and San Vicente in Milaor, and Barangay San Juan in Magarao, all from the Province of Camarines Sur.
The said trainings covered workshops and discussions on Transparency and Accountability, Qualities of an Effective Leader, and Action Planning relative to how they are going to apply the concepts in their community. This activity aims to educate the youth leaders of our community of their vital roles in co-building a clear and transparent society. It was facilitated by Jay P.
