AdNU-Social Involvement on Governance Conducts Training on TAG for USIC Partner Communities

The Ateneo de Naga University Social Involvement on Governance conducted the Series of Training on Transparent and Accountable Governance (TAG) for the University Social Involvement Council (USIC) Partner Communities on March 12-13, 2015 at the 3rd Floor, Canaman, Camarines Sur; March 16-17, 2015 at the Youth Hall, Milaor, Camarines Sur; and March 25-26, 2015 at the ABC Hall, Magarao, Camarines Sur.

The Training on TAG aims to promote ethical and accountable service to the public, to empower them to make public service culture more friendly, participative, efficient and effective by formulating action plans to prevent, detect and correct any form of corruption.

The Resource Person were: Mr. Nicolas Beda A. Priela, College Faculty from the Business Management Courses Department of the College of Business and Accountancy & Graduate School MBA Faculty; Mr. Rolan Jon G. Bulao, Chairperson of the Social Sciences Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, & MBA Faculty and Mr. Joselito SA. Del Rosario, MPA Faculty.

The participants were from Barangays Fundado, San Nicolas and San Roque, Canaman; Cabugao, Flordeliz and Mayaopayawan, Milaor; and Casuray and Barobaybay in Magarao. They unanimously expressed gratefulness, appreciation and usefulness of the said training.

It was also actively participated by the undergraduate students namely: Ma. Joy Sainth E. Asis, John A. Espiritu, Rhea Shayne D. Gime, Bernard Joseph V. Importante, Renz Allen R. Milante, Kathleen Mae A. Sevilla, Jenny Rose M. Soldador and Arvin Cyrus S. Taroma.

The facilitators were Mr. Jay P. Abawag, Ms. Anne Marie F. Bagadion, Dr. Margie B. Mirando and Ms. Benita Michele C. Verdadero.

The said activity is being initiated by the Ateneo de Naga University-Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG) in coordination with the University Social Involvement Council (USIC) in partnership with the Graduate School-Master in Business Administration and Master in Public Administration Cluster, Social Sciences Department and Allied Business Courses Department.
